After you log back in you should be able to delete the file and turn Time Machine back on. Troubleshooting Time Machine
There were a number of solutions offered up, many involving reformatting the TM drive. The TM "drive" is a 1.25TB partition on a 2TB external drive.Tech Tools is not reporting any other problems.Do you have any other suggestions?Dumb question - If I reformat or replace I really need to get this backup going again, esp since i reluctantly deleted the old one when i reformatted it. I cannot seem to find the "verify backups" action ... Scan through that and see if a particular file is hanging up your backup.
