I have TimeMachine backup on linux server with netatalk installed. I tried what someone one else posted about creating new disk image but that only gave me error-13, the same as you have. I used the "Finder" GUI to do this. It does not cover most problems specific to Time Capsules or other wireless backups. Sparsebundle No Mountable File Systems
I have a mac mini and a mac book pro. (New to the mac stuff as of about 8 months.... .NET guy moving to the darkside). The pipe character, |, is the unix instruction for sending the output of one command to the input of the next. Time Machine Sparsebundle Could Not Be Accessed (error (null)) I get the "resource temporarily unavailable" message when I try and mount the image. YMMV, but it works great for me.

If you are also in the same situation and looking for Time Machine Error 13 solution then you need not worry because you will find complete guide to fix Time Machine but one question - has anyone tried using DiskWarrior or TechTool Pro? Solution: Unfortunately a restart of my Mac did not help. This now fails with, "TimeMachine cannot use the disk image because it read-only". Anyways!

Any way to make this more permanent? In the Windows world, most everything folks don't understand is called a virus. Mac application may corrupt and cause data loss issue.
