When you repeat the above steps that I posted, you can see the dates of the alternatives and choose one to test or, if you're happy with current, just choose 'rollback But I was able to fully uninstall the software by essentialy removing the driver a second time through the mouse settings page. I checked your computer specs and it's also an HP Envy, so it should work the same way. So make sure it is enabled, simple as that. but anyway, if it works for now, good enough for me!

Fixed it by - Going to msconfig, startup tab - Enabled microsoft intellipoint and microsoft IntelliTypePro (software for my mouse and keyboard) so they would startup when I boot. But at least you can set the scrolling, pinch zoom, speed and sensitivity to your liking and if you reboot, you'll see the system tray icon and your preferences have stuck.
